We know that bad apps can sometimes sneak into good people's phones. We want you to feel comfortable that these Big Ben apps will do exactly what you expect, and nothing more. Below is a complete list of all the Android Permissions used by Big Ben and how we use them. We use only the minimum permissions necessary to run our apps.
| INTERNET | Allows you to access our Website from this app. |
| ACCESS _NETWORK_STATE |
Used to determine if you have Internet access. If not, you cannot access the Big Ben Website. |
| WAKE_LOCK | Allows us to keep your device from sleeping. When your screen is displaying Big Ben, it does not sleep. |
| FOREGROUND_SERVICE | This keeps Big Ben running in the background when it is minimized. |
| IGNORE_BATTERY _OPTIMIZATIONS |
Attempt to keep Android from shutting down the app when in background because of battery drain concerns. |
| POST_NOTIFICATIONS | Needed to run correctly on Android 13 devices. |
| READ_PHONE_STATE | Used to determine if you are on the phone or not. If you are, by default Big Ben will mute. |
Some older versions of Big Ben may require permissions not shown here because they have been removed in the current versions. If you have questions regarding the use of any of the above permissions, please Email the Developer. He's a good guy.
